Grief Share

A grief recovery support group for people grieving the death of a family member or friend will be held every Friday, 7-8:30 p.m. for 13 weeks starting on March 9, and ending on June 1 at First Baptist Church of East Stroudsburg, 160 N. LCEEC Activities

The Lackawanna College Environmental Education Centers (LCEEC), 93 MacKenzie Road in Covington Township will hold the following events in March:

LCEEC Beekeepers Club, Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m. Whether you are an experienced beekeeper, a new-bee, are interested in beekeeping or would simply like to learn more about the honey bee, this group is for you. The primary goals of the group are to promote honey bee colony wellness, share best practices and experiences in beekeeping and discuss the production of honey and other apiary products. Home & Business Solar Discovery, Wednesday, March 14, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Have you ever thought about adding solar panels to your home or business? Join Sustainable Energy Management System’s Co-founder, Noel Segui to answer your solar energy questions. Topics will include different types of solar energy technology, the value of solar energy, net metering, permits & inspections, incentives and grants and financing options. Early Explorers Series for ages 3-6, Monday, March 26 to June 4, 1-2:30 p.m. Early Explorers is a program series that offers discovery-based learning about the natural world through stories, art and outdoor explorations. Topics change seasonally and weekly. This spring, topics include inside an egg, super seeds, amphibians, animal mothers, birds, and gardening. The cost is $40 for a series of six classes or $8 for individual classes. Classes run every other Monday. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Upcoming programs and events at Eldred Township Community Center, 516 Kunkletown Road:

• Thrift store open Wednesdays Through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations accepted any open hours except food pantry Saturdays (first and third Saturdays).

Art As Spirituality

The Pocono Arts Council will present the Art as Spirituality Exhibition in the ARTSPACE Gallery, through March 24. Art as Spirituality is an opportunity for artists to express their personal and/or universal understanding of spirituality. The show is open to all media and artists — students, amateurs and professionals. Artists of all ages are encouraged to use their art to explore, express and share their spirituality.

Blood Drives

Fly Fishing Summer Camp

Registration is now open for the Keystone/TUTeens Conservation Camp in LaPlume for teens 14-18, sponsored by Trout Unlimited and Keystone College, June 17-23. Learn the art and the science of fly fishing and conservation. This is a one-week stay-over camp on the campus of Keystone College. Fee is $400 with financial aid available.
